Route 1.

Quickest way to the summit. Park on the A5 next to the start of the path (space for one car) or in the entrance to Tal-y-waun. I was told by the owner of the property that it was OK to park there and that other walkers do too.

With all routes it is well worth considering including the SOTA summits of Creigiau Gleision and/or Carnedd Llewelyn.

Route 2.

Parked my car at Llyn Crafnant and proceded up the valley towards Craig Wen. After scrambling to the top I took a right eventually reaching the stream which heads towards the mountain.

The sun was blazing down from a cloudless sky and the views were great looking towards Snowdon.

At the end of stream I started the hard slog up the steep slope, reaching the top, from the car took me two hours.

Views at the top was were stunning, looking down on Llyn Eigiau and Llyn Cowlyd. there was just a hint of a breeze and distant views were hindered by a fine mist.

Route 3.

Drive up through Trefriw towards Llyn Cowlyd and parked just before Brwynog Uchaf.

Route 4.

From the B5106 turn up to Rowlyn Isa then on to Llyn Eigiau following the path onto the summit.
